Goodbye Family, Friends and Uncle Sam

I have never had to say goodbye before. I don't like it. It stinks. A lot. But.. I know it's going to be so worth it. I left Sunday Morning at 4:30 AM, then drove to Las Vegas and after playing the standby game had a quick tearful goodbye to my family, then I was off to my big Italian adventure.  The plane ride to New York was 5 hours and enjoyable. I was exhausted from the previous night and it was perfect cause I passed out on the plane with my new pillow and blanky my mom bought me (gosh I love her). When I got to New York my flight was delayed for a bit. When I got on the plane I realized I was in the business class. Oh good golly gee I cannot tell you how absolutley fun that was. You are in this big squishy chair that reclines to a bed, they feed you gourmet meals, you have your own movie player, they hook you up nicely with some burts bees, and all the ladies are so nice. When we reached Milan I was really excited and nervous at the same time. I had to ride a bus from the airport to the Stational Centrale (like the biggest train station in Italy), figure out the trains and ride a train to Sacile where my new employer would pick me up. It turned out to be a bit harder to figure the trains out than I thought. Two things: Everything, from the people to the signs, to the train ticket is in Italian. I don't speak a lick of Italian. Soo that made it a little hard. Plus the fact I was carrying 100 lbs of luggage around. At some point in my travels some man forced me to let him carry my luggage in the train station. Then when he was done from his 5 minute service demanded 5 euro. Besides that I have met so many nice people who are so willing to help. When arrived in the town i'm staying, the woman i'm staying with came to pick me up. She was so nice, gave me a big hug and made me feel right at home. The kids i'm nannying are the cutest things to ever hit this earth. We read some stories and sang songs tonight. It was really fun actually. In an odd way they make me feel not so homesick. So far adventure Italia is goin grand.
I space packed all my clothes :)
